Chris Dix – Managing Director
C W Dix Limited was founded by Chris Dix who has been a practicing accountant for many years. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Chris has lived in the Wakefield Area for most of his life and has an excellent knowledge of the business community in West Yorkshire in particular. He has a vast wealth of experience gained working for both large and small businesses alike.
Chris has an extensive range of professional contacts who he works closely with to provide his clients with the best advice possible.
Chris is married to Alison and has two grown up children. He has a keen interest in sport, particularly cricket and both rugby codes. A member of Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Chris is also a lifelong supporter of Wakefield Trinity and a former Chairman and Secretary of Sandal RUFC.
Chris is a supporter of many local charities. He is currently actively involved in WACCL, a Wakefield based children’s charity and was previously a Trustee for Sports Aid Yorkshire & Humberside, a charity supporting highly talented young sports men and women.
Carolyn Harman – Senior Manager
Carolyn is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant and has worked with Chris for many years. Like Chris, she has extensive experience of working closely with clients to provide the solution to their problems. She is very much a “hands on” Accountant who is trusted and highly respected by her clients and colleagues alike.
Carolyn has a detailed practical knowledge of many accounting packages including SAGE, Pegasus and Xero and is a regular first port of call for clients with a problem.
Louise Pollock – Accountant
Louise joined the team in June 2016 having previously worked as management accountant with a large legal practice in Sheffield. A member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Louise quickly developed a great working relationship with clients and colleagues alike and is highly respected by both.
Louise is married to Stephen and they have two daughters.
Alison Dix – Payroll Manager and Administration
After a great deal of persuasion, Alison finally joined the team in August 2016 having worked for many years at Silcoates School as PA to the Head of Junior School. Initially dealing with all aspects of the general office, Alison is also responsible for the day to day running of payroll bureau. Alison is often the first person a client will meet and ensures the office runs as smoothly as possible at all times.
Alison has many interests, not least her grown up son and daughter and is a season ticket holder at Leeds United.
Nell Auty – Trainee Accountant
Nell joined as an apprentice in August 2018 and has already made great strides in her professional development within the team. Nell’s accountancy skills are developing and she is already a very valuable member of the team.
Although Nell is the youngest member of the team, it is already clear that she is very focused in her ambition to become a fully qualified accountant. Nell is highly regarded by her work colleagues and clients alike as not only is she eager to learn she is as equally eager to assist where she can. Nell adopts a very mature approach to everything she does in work and we are delighted she is part of our team.
Samantha White - Bookkeeper
Sam, is a highly experienced bookkeeper who brings a wealth of practical knowledge to the team. Clients can clearly identify the skill set that Sam brings to resolving the issues they face. Sam is a highly capable Sage practitioner who now has practical experience in using Xero for clients.
Sam has a teenage daughter who occupies a lot of her spare time.
